Meet Carolina:
Family Support Worker
Hello! My name is Carolina (she/her), and I am a Program Support Worker at Saanich Neighbourhood Place (SNP). You can find me supporting our drop-in programs at Pearkes or BVU, helping with childminding, spending time in the kitchen, and assisting with different program needs.
My background is in working with children, families, and community programs. I have always been passionate about creating welcoming and supportive spaces where families feel comfortable, connected, and valued. 

My connection to organizations like SNP is also very personal. When I first moved to Canada, community organizations played an important role in helping me feel welcomed, supported, and connected to our new community. Those experiences showed me how meaningful it can be when someone takes the time to help a family feel like they belong.
That is one of the reasons I love the work I do at SNP.
I have the opportunity to give back and support other families in the same way that I was supported when I was new to Canada.

I really value the sense of community at SNP, the way everyone works together to support families and make sure people know they are not alone.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring Vancouver Island, and making memories with my kids.
