Working Together to Build Community

About Us

Saanich Neighbourhood Place is a registered charitable organization (#88614 9236 rr0001) serving the community of Saanich and the surrounding neighbourhoods. As a not-for-profit organization, we are investing in our community to help make better neighbourhoods for all who live, work and play here.

We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, people from the community who are interested in helping families and youth find the resources and services they need to feel safe, supported and connected.

Our Staff Teams work closely with each other, community members, other organizations and families to develop and deliver the programs to support our participants.

We are funded in part by governments, community foundations, family foundations, donors and sponsors. Without the support of our community, we would be unable to provide the valuable services and programs we offer to the community, families and youth of the region.

Saanich Neighbourhood Place operates across the municipality of Saanich. Our organization includes locations in the Gorge/Tillicum, Royal Oak, and Shelbourne/Cedar Hill communities.

Saanich Neighbourhood Place is proud to be a part of the Coalition of Neighbourhood Houses. Neighbourhood Houses are non-profit community based organizations that are committed to healthy children, families, youth and individuals. Across the Capital Regional District (CRD), there are ten Neighbourhood Houses working together to offer a range of services and programs to support community members. We work with our partners the Volunteer Victoria, the Food Share Network and British Columbia Family Resource Programs.

With gratitude, we respectfully acknowledge that we work and serve on the unceded lands of the L'kwungen speaking peoples of the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. Read our detailed land acknowledgement here.
