Full o'Beans Preschool & Full-day childcare
Full o'Beans Preschool and Childcare programs are designed to provide a learning environment that supports your child's growth and development in all areas. Experiencing new things and exploring ideas, learning how to interact with peers and make friends, and just having fun, that's preschool. Choose from morning sessions or all day care.
Part-Day Preschool programs run from September to June only, and registration begins in February of each year for the following September.
We ask that children attending preschool be ready, or almost ready, to use the toilet independently or with minimal assistance.
Part-day Preschool programs include two options:
‘Classic’: This program offers a traditional 3 hour program with a set schedule, M/W/F or T/Th, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. All sessions include indoor and outdoor free play, activities, art, and story-times. Regular access to the big gym and library help us round out the program, as do in-class visitors. Open to all children who will be 3 years old by December 31st. This program is a good introduction to the routines and expectations of preschool.
‘Flex’: Our Flex program offers a longer 4 hour program, with the option to choose the days that work best for your family (minimum 2 days per week.) This program features a large outdoor component, with as much as 2 hours each day outside in our playground and/or Cuthbert Holmes Park, a natural wooded park behind the Rec Centre. Indoor activities are also available each day as well the gym, library, and in-class visitors. This program is open to all children who are 3 years and older by September 1st.
Both our ‘Classic’ and our ‘Flex’ programs provide opportunities for children to play and grow with their peers, make friends, and learn some the the skills that will carry them into Kindergarten. They are also supported as they learn how to be independent, take care of their own things, resolve conflicts with peers, and express themselves effectively. Regular active play encourages skill building such as coordination and balance, and builds physical strength, stamina, and dexterity.
Snacks are provided daily for each group, with lunch coming from home in the 4 hour group. We are also closed on all statutory holidays, and there is a two week closure in December, as well as during spring break in March/April. As we value continued growth and education, we also close for up to three staff professional development days annually.

Full o’ Beans Full-Day Child Care:
Our Full o’ Beans Child Care is our full-time childcare program for children 36 months to school aged. This program provides opportunities for children to learn and grow through play both inside the classroom as well as outdoors. The children will be provided with an environment that encourages them to learn new skills, explore new materials and gain independence while building meaningful relationships with their peers and educators.
Located in our Child and Family Centre, we are open from 8 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday. We are closed on all statutory holidays. and have two annual week-long closures in December and June. As we value continued growth and education, we close for up to three staff professional development days annually as well.
We offer a complimentary meal option for children over the age of one year old. We are able to accommodate most common food sensitivities and lifestyle choices, but can not guarantee our kitchen is allergen free. We ask that milk, formula or breast milk comes from home if required.
